…What is theCounterfix?

This site exists for 3 main purposes:

1. It exists to contribute to the world of the arts, culture and theology in a beneficial way by giving artists, musicians, writers, photographers, producers, graphic designers, filmmakers, philosophers and various other intellectuals who work in a creative field a place to converse, network, and support each other. It is also a place for all of the aforementioned individuals to have an opportunity to gain the exposure that they deserve.

2. It exists to highlight the creative abilities of individuals so that regular visitors are able to access great content in a central location.

2.Lastly, it exists to create healthy dialogue about critical issues such as faith, theology, culture, and relevant topics in our society that pertain to the arts and our general ways of life.

Although theCounterfix is run by only one individual, it thrives off of the contribution of others.

That means YOU. 

The purpose of this site is not to indoctrinate, nor condescend other belief systems, but to converse with and challenge others in their own personal values and provide insight into the worldview that theCounterfix subscribes to.

I (J!Rodgers) am the creator and primary writer of this site. It is my hope that with theCounterfix people are able to view culture, art, and faith in a constructive, critical way. It is also my hope that people will be willing to discern the values and message in areas of each arena. I believe firmly that I am a part of a generation that has abandoned the art of critical thinking and the questions of “Why do I believe this?”, and “Why are things this way?”. Coming from a biblical worldview, it is also my hope that the readers of this site would think well of the Christ and His teachings. However, individuals of any stance are more than welcome.  Lastly it is my hope to provoke dialogue with readers with the intent of creating a healthy platform where clarity can be gained, culture can be enriched, and worldviews can be challenged. Mistakes will be made and views may change over time. I’m well aware of this, and invite you to walk along with me.

All I want to do is counter the death being fed to our generation and be apart of the many trying to fix this culture.
